Nootau ran at the moose's left, just as he bucks again, and jumps at his side, nipping and jumping up and down tirelessly until he pinches a bit of the long-furred skin, and draws more blood. It wasn't much but something, he continued to leap and snarl.

Douglass screams and gurgles, and bucks up on his hind legs this time, aiming to jab a hoof at the large white wolf closeby.

Snowcap gazed thankfully at Nootau, and followed his example: jumping up every so oftern to nip at the Moose's sides. Snowcap dodged an aimed kick, then went at it with more enthusiasm, leaping high into the air and taking small chunks of flesh off of the animal's body. He hoped to get in front of the moose when Tsuki and Kanti intercepted him so that he could make the finishing attack.

Tsuki saw Snowcap leap at the Moose and heard him bark. That was her cue. As the Moose came towards Kanti and Tsuki, Tsuki jumped up and clamped her jaws on the moose's left side and clung on. She glanced at Snowcap to make sure she was doing the right thing. The Moose was weakening and she could feel it through her jaws.

Douglass screams and screams, hoping to at least burst everybody's eardrums, but of course not able to do that. The deep murring had to at least be very annoying though! Realizing that he might be dying, the moose turns and tries to move south.

Snowcap nodded at Tsuki, admiring her bravery at attatching herself to the prey. Snowcap took this distraction to sprint ahead of the moose and lunge at its throat. He sailed through the air, bloody fangs finding their desired place deep in the animal's jugular. He gripped the moose's neck and chest with his claws, holding on tightly. He felt hot blood pouring down his neck, staining his luxurious white fur a deep red. Snowcap dug his fangs in farther. Feeling the moose's trachea, he gave a strong push into the neck, squeezing the tubular muscle so that his prey could not breath.
The moose's movements kept jerking Snowcap around. I don't think I can hang on much longer...
He squeezed his eyes shut.

Inaya heard the bark and knew it was time to attack. She ran out and jumped for the moose's rear end and held on, ripping off as much flesh as she could at a time.
She kept with the beast as it jerked and ran about furiously. The whining and roaring rather annoying, jolting at her ears, but she clung to it's side as though her life depended on it, the taste of blood and fresh flesh in her mouth, she wanted more.
Inaya knew the young moose was weakening and kept her grip. It wouldn't be long now, she thought as she glimpsed Snow's latch onto the animal's neck, clearly striking major parts in the throat.

Anthoro ran beside the others towards the moose, who was obviously weakening. He clawed at the animal, watching as Snowcap bit into the moose's throat. He continued to attack, driven by instinct and hunger. The animal was going down, and they all knew it. This thought drove Anthoro, and he attacked with a great ferocity.

Kanti watched Tsuki jump onto the moose and then sprinted after their kill as it ran towards the south. She hadn't hunted in a long time so this was all very exciting for her. She snapped at the Moose's front legs, catching his shoulder occasionally. Soon, Snowcap had managed to get hold of the Moose's neck and was suffocating it, but because the beast was so intent on surviving, Kanti could see he wouldn't be able to do this for to long so she lunged at the moose's stomache. She managed to sink her fangs into the beasts flesh, but found it difficult to run at the same time. Kanti knew she had to hold on a little longer, the beast was tiring.

Nootau kept on jumping and jumping in ways that do not make this post very long or interesting [Gosh, I'm a riot.] He clung on to his side, pulling and pulling, trying to get the moose down.

Douglass murrs, collapsing under the weight of the wolves, the shock, and extreme pain. He isn't dead yet but is alredy labeled as a meal, at the point of no return. He makes his last thoughts known to the wolves, in raspy breaths, though they don't understand him anyway. "MAMAAAA!!!!! I HAVE FAILED FAILED FAILED" His life started flashing before his little moosey eyes.

((Ooc: Omg, this is HEARTBREAKING. DX))
Once the moose was down, Snowcap landed lightly. He twisted his maw, tearing out the jugular and the vital tubing. Snowcap hoped that this would stop his prey's suffering. As much as he liked the hunt, he still felt sympathy toward the dying animals.
Snowcap stepped back to let the moose die quietly, muttering apologies under his breath. He sat licking the blood off his jaws while his wolves finished their tasks.

[Hear that everybody? Snow's a real softy!! Isn't it so cute though.] Nootau watched Snow snip off the moose's life. "Let's eat, it tastes best while the heart's still beating! Of course even better with the muscles still twitching too, but it's too late for that!" He laughs, tail wagging as he dances about, nipping at the carcass triumphantly.

((XD)) Snowcap growled quietly at Nootau, slightly dissapointed. "Please, my Beta," he said sternly, "Sit by my side. Wolves, gather around. Before we eat, I believe it is right to thank this animal for his life. My ancestors in the North had a law concerning this, and I will not go against it. Let us sit in silence." Snowcap closed his eyes and lay his ears back. He bowed his head a little, and recited the words of his ancestors. Ere mortals die thy spirits dwell, Concealed within the cage of bones. Thy blood we spill, thy flesh we 'gest, Thy soul cannot be broken. Let spirits rise, unto the sky, Thy mind free of buden. This saken key hath opened gates, Unto the worlds beyond. Though his voice was deathly silent, the ancient words were audible within the circle of wolves. Snowcap lifted his head and opened his eyes, stunning the pack with a set of silvery, moon-lit irises. "Let us eat," he said calmly, padding over to the dead moose to tear into the soft flesh of his belly.

Nootau pauses, hardly able to sit still.
Come oonnnn. he though impatiently, the heart's gonna stooop!
He yawns and circles around, knowing better than to start eating before the Alpha did. He watches in amusement as the blood still oozes from the wounds, and grins in satisfaction. Hey, the moose could still be alive, just barely, and Snow's ancestors would never know. When does a moose die, anyway? When the heart stops? When the brain stops? When the breathing stops? Judging by the no-longer intact traechea, it wasn't breathing, but maybe the mind was still alive, barely, slowly losing oxygen. Maybe somewhere it was still suffering, as Nootau not really wanted it to, but maybe. It wasn't his first though anyway.
