Snowcap looked down in sorrow. There really was nothing he could do to mend bone. He knew that washing the wound would help it heal, but that was about as far as his knowledge extended.
"I am sorry for your injury," said Snowcap in sadness, "but indeed there is nothing I can do. However, you may clean it to speed the healing." The white wolf's tail flicked up in a glimmer of hope. His heart reached out to this loner, but there were other matters to consider when you were the Alpha. Was this wolf safe?
"Yes, my parents were wolves of the North. I grew up in the Tundra, but was forced to move on as the herds died of disease. I came to the forests here, though the landscape offered no camouflage for my coat." Snowcap lowered his pentagonal head and tilted it to the side, examining this loner. He seemed on in his years; old, yet still with life and energy. Golden orbs traced the scar through the elder's eye, wondering how such a wound came about. Lifting his head, the Alpha spoke again.
"I am Snowcap, Alpha of the resident pack here. These are my fellow wolves, Inaya and Anthoro. May I ask of your calling, and where you come from?"

"I am... I... They call me..." the black wolf stutters. He stops, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. "I am Ashakanar, but just call me Ash to remind me of a great friend that I lost. I have come from nowhere in particular and have been nearly everywhere there is to be, except here. This land does not seem to have territorial markings just yet, are you a relatively new pack? As for my injury, the time for cleaning is not now." He glances over to the field he had just past, stomach rumbling. "Is it just you three, or are there others about? Three is an awfully small number for a pack."

Tsuki followed Nootau to the stream. She stopped as she scented another wolf. She croached down in the undergrowth and crept forwards very slowly. She noticed a new black wolf, he appeared to be injured. Tsuki relaxed and walked out from the bushes.
"We found no danger Snowcap. It seems like a save place."
She turned to the newcomer. She saw the wound on his leg. She walked over to him and began to lick the wound. Even if this wolf was a stranger, he was wounded and he didnt smell like danger.

Watching the new wolf aprehensively, Anthoro waited behind Snowcap. Remembering his smaller size and general weakness, he stayed a bit farther back. He watched closely though, hoping to prove he had some strength. He looked to Inaya, trying to see what she was thinking. Turning back to the loner, he looked to his injuries. Anthoro felt himself wishing he was able to hel this wolf. Strong Anthoro wasn't, he was always friendly towards others. He waited behind Snowcap, watching.

At the return of the rest of his pack, Snowcap was strengthened. He was beginning to think of them as family.
"As you can see, we three are not the only ones. Yes, we are relatively new here. In fact, we just finished scouting the territory for signs of danger or disease. It's gorgeous here." Snowcap lifted his maw and breathed deeply, taking pleasure in the damp smells that filled his nose. It was paradise. Turning to Tsuki, the white male wagged his tail slightly. "Thank you, Tsuki. You have done well."

Nootau appeared with his side of the pack, slightly depressed that he didn't feel quite united with them just yet. He first notices the scent of the stranger, and steps forward. "I have plenty of food in my maw for now, the rest of our last kill's already gone, are you starving, right now?"

Tsuki raised her head and wagged her tail at Snowcap.
"Thank you Snowcap."
She turned her attention back to the newcomer. His wound wasnt life threatening but it may make it hard for him to hunt.
"I dont need food....but i think this newcomer may need some. What do you think Snowcap? I mean.....we are all new here....i thought that we should help each other...."

Anthoro steped forward. He looked around the circle to see if anyone seemd hostile. He was sure someone might get angry with him, but he voiced his opinion anyways.
"Yes, I mean, it's not like we're going through a famine or something. Technically, this isn't even our territory yet. We might as well help each other out while boundaries don't cloud our minds. I say we should hel the stranger, at least 'till he's well again."
He continued to look about the wolves, his shy, weak side pushed away. He felt bolder, and stronger. He was proud of himself, and he was ready to defend his argument.

When the second white wolf began to clean his injury, Ash tensed up for a minute. He was not used to being around wolves, let alone having them help him clean his injuries! After a minute, he relaxed, letting his tail slightly wag in thanks.
He opened his mouth to say that he wasn't hungry, but his stomach decided to answer for him, giving a slight squirm. "I have lasted this long haven't I?" He said, "I do not see any reason why I cannot wait a few more days."
He watched the wolf, who had been rather laid-back until now, speak his opinion. Ash said nothing in response, let them decide, It would be best if I have no say in this.
He sat, looking at all the wolves that were gathered around the river. Unable to take in their scents, he looked at each one of them, embedding them deep into his memory. He had not been around this many wolves for several years. He thought back to the two-pronged path. Had he taken the right path? Is this what he truly wanted?

Nootau nodded deeply, a blossom of respect in his mind for Anth's young wisdom. "Any wolf I meet is family. No. Not officially are we a pack, yet though, until we have a name and howl then. But it's coming, isn't it?"

"Yes," replied Snowcap. "I say that we welcome Ashankar into our pack. We have plenty of spare meat here, and the larger the pack, the more chance for survival." The white wolf approached the stranger, hackles stiff and plume high in the air. He sniffed noses with him politely, then memorized his scent. Soon, when they had decided on a pack name, each wolf would carry part of the same smell. They were all connected now.
That settled, Snowcap sat back, beckoning his wolves into a circle.
"Now, we must come up with a pack name. After our decision, I would like to mark the borders of our territory. Any suggestions?"

He hadn't really thought of what their pack name could be. What could they be called? Anthoro was lost for a minute, but then he thought it couldn't be a problem if he couldn't think of anything. There were plenty of them to think of one. He wagged his tail slightly, happy that they had found their ideal territory. He listened, waiting to see if anyone would find a name for their pack.
[At Nootau. Anth? That's a sweet nickname. xD]
