Inaya followed Snow and Anthoro. Exploring would be adventerous. Her toungue hung loose from her mouth as she padded along side anthroro.

Snowcap grinned at Inaya and tilted his head.
"Which way shall we go next?"

Anthoro walked around aimlessly by the edge of the forest. He was thinking about Snowcap's question.
"Maybe we should go a little into the forest? It may be easier for sickness to hide within the trees. But it's so vast, we couldn't possibly be able to go through it all and meet Nootau."
He continued to pace, still anxious to be off and exploring. Ho looked into the forest, smelling it's many scents, and as far as he could tell, he couldn't smell anything wrong. So far.

Without replying, Snowcap darted into the forest, loping easily between the trees and below low branches in his path. Now was the time to let his senses control his movements, and descend into a quiet trance in which his nose would lead him. The air was cool and damp with the smells of the wood; decaying leaves, fresh pine, woody aromas, and the constant scent of deer and smaller prey. He ran off to the west a little, entering a sheltered glade where three deer were foraging. They bolted in fear, leaping high over the shrubs and ferns surrounding the little clearing. Snowcap stopped to crouch, assessing the health in each animal. They were all fit and fine, no diseases or sickness in them. He looked behind to see if Anthoro and Inaya were still with him. The trees stood strong and thick as well; nothing it seemed could die here.
"We'll go to the river now," whispered Snowcap, shaking slightly from the excitement his stomach gave him when spotting the deer, though he had recently feasted on the moose. He got up and padded over to his packmates, a curious glint in his golden eyes.

Tsuki sniffs around her. There was no noticable danger or sickness. She looks up and notices Nootau staring at her. She held his gaze for a while although wolves dont usually hold each others gaze.
"I cant scent any danger. Maybe we should head for the stream"

Nootau stared back to Tsuki, holding his gaze for a bit longer to prove his higher status, just a bit. He looks back to the trres, and the rocks and boulders up ahead, then the stream to the east.
"The water. Weaves from the trees and goes to the rocks too. Okay. Just good." He looks to Kanti then, and leads the way.

After a good dozen tries, the black wolf stops, and takes a look around him. Nothing to be of any advantage in his immediate area, he looks into the distance. Through the pain, he admired the landscape. It was truly a sight to see, fields and forests of all kinds, dwarfed by towering distant mountains. He could hear the sound of a river that could not be to far from his current location.
I should head for that river. I need to wash the dirt out of the scar before it becomes infected, but how am I to get up and moving? The problem is the dislocated shoulder, it makes it hard to move my right leg the way I want to. The black wolf's eyes light up as an idea pops into his head. He positions his front right leg in between two rocks and summons his energy. Twisting, he feels the "pop" of it returning to its socket, releasing a slight yelp from the pain. The black wolf lay there smirking, he could now get to the river to cleanse his wounds. He climbs to his remaining legs, and begins limping towards the sound of the river.

Following Snowcap into the forest, Anthoro looked about him. The forest was full of smells, from natural plant scents to animals. He looked about him, a strange wonder coming about him, although he had ventured in many a forest. It was the fact he might be living here which made him so happy. He looked back to see if Inaya was following. Anthoro turned at the sound of Snowcap's voice. He nodded, seeing sense in his words. He walked around a bit, the nagging curiosity making his paws itch to be running through the valley.

"Yes, let us continue to the river."
Snowcap dashed through the trees, again ducking and darting between them with such agility and freedom. His heart raced, knowing that this would now be his home territory. His eyes teared as the air whooshed past them, sweeping the moisture from the tender balls. Snow's paws felt the damp forest ground, seeping with the rains that must have fallen only hours ago. The air was clear and alive, brimming with wonderful aromas and the scent of home. This was his paradise.
Snowcap neared the river with caution. His expirience with water wasn't the best, so he was always on his guard when near the liquid. The flowing currents soothed his ears, but also reminded him of that fateful day as a pup... he refused to think about it. Snowcap stopped, waiting for his packmates to catch up. He raised his tail when he saw them, but wagged it slightly also to show his relaxed feelings towards them. Then he turned his attention to the river. Something seemed wrong. Not with the water itself, or even the river really, but something around it. He stuck his nose in the air, testing the air for new scents. Was it another wolf?
"Inaya, Anthoro," Snowcap said, "Do you smell that?"

Kanti ran after Nootau and Tsuki, glancing around every so often to check for danger or prey. She wasn't really paying to much attention to notice the tension between her two pack mates, so as they ran off towards the stream she found herself having to leap forward suddenly to catch up. She was thirty, and hoped they would reach the river soon. I wounder if thats where we will meet the others? She thought to herself as she ran through the woodland.

Anthoro ran behind Snowcap, his energy seemingly endless. His paws carried him to a stop beside Snowcap. He looked back and grinned when he saw Inaya following. He turned back to Snowcap to say he didn't smell anything, when it hit him. He breathed deeply, closing his eyes. He opened them again, and looked around him, at the opposite bank, as well as their side of the river. Anthoro couldn't see anything, but he could smell it.
"Yeah, I do smell that, and I don't recognize it. Maybe there's already a pack living here." Anthoro said. It couldn't be. They hadn't picked up any other wolf scents until now. Maybe just a loner passing through, he thought. He looked about them again, still not seeing anything.

The black wolf limped through the trees, nearing the bank of the river. Once he reached the water's edge, he leaned forward, testing the water. All seemed to be good, since he stuck his muzzle into the river and began drinking. After the black wolf had his fill, he dunked his head into the water, holding it there for a few seconds. Backing away from the water, he shook the dripping water off his face. He sat, and looked at the forest around him, admiring it's health. Not a dead tree in sight! As he sat there, conserving his energy, he could feel the warmth of blood building around his scar.

After a short wait, the black wolf begins to limp downstream. He just couldn't stop admiring the forest in which he was in. A prarie opened up to the left and he could see deer in abundance. Plenty of food, he thought as his stomach growled. How he would love to attempt to take one down, but, even if he was in full health, that would require more than one wolf. In a great state of mind, he continues to limp downstream.

Suddenly Snowcap caught a glance of the strange wolf. He immediately crouched, not wanting to be seen just yet. It was a loner. He sighed in relief, thankful that he wasn't part of a pack that had taken root here. But wait, he was injured! Snowcap rose a little bit, curious about what hindered the wolf. Perhaps he should help him?
"Anthoro, Inaya," he whispered, "We must help this injured loner. Follow me closely to the riverbank in case there is any trouble." Slowly, the white wolf approached the river's edge. His fur bristled automatically and his plume raised in superiority. From the opposite bank, he barked shortly at the wolf, and called out to him.
"My fellow wolf, what is it that impedes you?"

The black wolf turned at the sound of a voice. There stood a male wolf with a luxurious white coat, slightly stained by what appeared to be blood, and golden eyes that seemed to have no definite color. He was honestly surprised that he had not seen the wolf, considering how well he stood out from his surroundings.
Replying to his question, "If you are looking to help me, there is not much you can do, unless you somehow have the ability to mend bone?"
He looked beyond the white wolf and noticed two other wolves, hiding in the forest. So this wolf is not a loner, they are in somewhat of a pack., he thought. Deciding not to say anything, about the two wolves, he returned his attention to the male wolf, "A white wolf, you do not see many of those at this latitude. What brings a white wolf so far south?"
