Straight up question. How did you come to love wolves?
For myself, the first real time I acknowledged a love for Wolves was in 8th grade, in my Science class. Me and my lab partner were talking about a variety of things. We came on to the subject of animals. She made a comment about wolves, and I said that I hated it when movies or books portrayed wolves as evil (ie: The Chronicles of Narnia), because they are not. She agreed with me, and the bell rang. I was thinking about our conversation later and I began to think that it was strange that I had made that comment,
It only grew from there. Before I knew it, my usernames began to have relations to wolves. I was drawing wolves on the back of assignments, and my avatar's and wallpapers became wolfen.
I then heard about wolf's rain, from somewhere, I can't remember, and watched those in about two days, lol. The funny thing is, I know a girl who was absolutely in love with Wolf's Rain in 7th grade art class. Everything she drew had relation to wolf's rain. Kinda weird that I went in the same direction. Anyway, I went looking for answers about the ending to Wolf's rain, and came across tv.com's Wolf's Rain forums. There I found the thread about Raw Meat, and here I am now.
The first time my mom saw me on Raw Meat, she became worried. She didn't tell me why, but I think she thought it was some weird site about how eating raw meat is good for the body lol.
My love for wolves is starting to affect my perceptions. In my High School drawing class, my teacher shows a piece of art everyday before we begin work. We have to write stuff down about the art piece. Whenever she shows an abstract piece, I almost instantly see a wolf in it. I am also noticing that I am starting to see wolves in even less abstract art pieces! One day, she was showing a landscape piece, and I swear I saw a wolf in the distance, I thought I was going crazy!. Later, she made a comment about how the artist included a wolf in the painting. Whew, I am not going crazy! At least, I hope I am not...
To make one last point, I am working on a project for my drawing class. The objective is to practice gradating your shading. You draw a scribble on a paper, and fill in the shapes it makes with shading gradating form light to dark. I am about halfway finished, and I can already see the face of a wolf! I can swaer that I didn't try to draw anything wolf related!
How did you come to love wolves? I am curious to see if my experiences are similar to anyone else. Sorry for the novel
