I wanted to start a roleplay that had none of the unnecessary drama, and for it to be as close to life as possible, but how can I do that without lots and lots of rules? I've tried not to be too strict, because I hate rules as much as you do.
1. You must be a wolf. A wolf/dog hybrid would be okay but they can't be bigger or smaller than an average wolf. Not too many of these though, this is a forest, not a pound.
2. Fur colors can not be vivid. We're allowing unusual colors so we have some individuality, having everyone grey or black might be kind of confusing. No wolves that are more than 40% yellow, orange and other bright colors that must be limited to small markings. Keep your colors dull and dark so they wouldn't stand out in a forest setting.
3. No crying tears. Wolves can't sob. Show sadness in another way, body language, for instance.
4. No boyfriend and girlfriend wolves. Wolves certainly can befriend other wolves of either sex. Mating is not an act of love, it's pheromones. But there can be a bond with a wolf couple, though it's not a whole lot greater than friendship. Sorry. No soap operas here.
5. No magic or anything like it.
6. Names can be human names, nature names, whatever. But please be more creative than "Bob" or "Joe." Also, try to keep away from anime/Japanese names. "Inuyasha" or "Naruto" is simply not a righteous name for a wolf. Though if it's not too hard to pronounce, go for it.
7. Keep any out of character conversation in the Beef Jerky forum.
8. Don't use those rp words like "varg" or "tassel" as they can be confusing and limit creativity.
9. You can talk, but use body language when possible. For example, instead of "Play with me!" said Rockie, try, Rockie flopped his paws on the ground, eyes sparkling teasingly as he danced about, nipping friskily at Memo's sides.
10. Make your posts at least 4 sentences long.
11. For the love of dog, no net speak! Some is okay in the Beef Jerky but try not to be addicted to it.
12. Regarding pictures: You must have a picture of your wolf, a drawing, made by me, you, or a friend of yours. You must not break any copyright rules. I'd be very happy to make you one if you only use it on this site.
14. It's okay to describe urination, defecation, sex, birth, or the tearing apart of carcasses, but don't go into TOO much detail. This place is best for people at least 13, but there's no rule against younger people. It's just that since this rp is to be so close to real life, it's necessary not to censor nature that much.
If you have any questions about the rules, any inquiries, requests, suggestions, PM me or make a new thread.
Thanks for cooperating to make Raw Meat a place for wolves!
