Nootau stepped back towards the wood, and turned around again. "The more of us, the better for creating a feast. There's a great many of the larger preyed ones here, perhaps we can just try to get something." He brisked his tail upward, ready to lead the way to the trail of a herd that was a couple of miles away. The scent lingered faintly, yet still suggestively, to the North. Nootau was unsure if he would be able to take on leadership of the group, so he waited for someone to show any dominance at all. He didn't know the area any better than anyone else, he had only spent time here sleeping and moving forward, looking for an easy meal, though being unsuccessful for the past weeks. With this many wolves, how many? As many as a wolf can count as a family, even, yes, the odds were on their side.
Nootau stumbled at the roots of a large, elderly tree with hoarse bark his tail lifted slightly and ears brought foward to full attention. Follow me, his body language conveyed, unless you are more ready to lead than i am!

As the many loners approached, Snowcap rose from his bow, lifting his tail to let it curve elegantly over his back. His ears tilted forward, intrigued by how many wolves had converged. Was this just coincidence? The white wolf's eyes glimmered silver, wandering steadily over the varied coat patterns and sizes of the surrounding canines. His nose twitched as it worked to separate the different earthy scents of the wolves, all individual.
Although he was all for the pack life again, he couldn't help but be innocently apprehensive. Snowcap's ears flicked back, and his claws scratched the forest floor nervously.
However, when Nootau displayed his dominance, Snowcap's natural instincts kicked in. This was his chance to start anew; and at the top. The wolf's fur was dense and brilliant white, glowing silver in the sun's rays. Snowcap moved forward, muscles rippling, barking sternly to show his objection. His tail was thick with long hairs, flying high in the air. His strides were strong, confident, and smooth. Snowcap meant to lead this new pack, just as his ancestors led the wolves to the north.

Watching as the wolf called Snowcap challenged the other, he flattened his ears, and lowered his tail. Cowardly he may be, Anthoro knew his size was nothing compared to the bristling males ahead. Instinct urged him to fight, but he remained submissive. He had learned most of the forest was larger than him. Anthoro decided he would follow the victor, and waited in silence. He waited and listened, watching how the females might react to this sudden display of dominance.

Tsuki watched as Nootau got up. She had thought that he was the alpha but when she saw the white male get up also she was confussed. Perhaps the other male had been right. They were all loners. Tsuki walked over to Nootau.
"I had been following the scent of some injured animal for some time now. I believe it is Moose but im not too sure. It was heading northwards."

A lone silver she wolf halted and pricked her ears suddenly. Something in the distance had startled her and as she sniffed at the wind. She could smell other wolves up ahead. Maybe they were forming a pack? Maybe they were deciding on who their alphas would be. The idea of a pack excited Kanti and her tail wagged slightly as she gave a little whimper of delight. Without another thought, she cautiously walked in the direction of the scent. Her ears lay flat on her head as she walked onwards as if she were scared to be shunned by the wolves ahead.

Nootau stood nose to nose before Snow, tail ascending a bit more and hackles flairing over his shoulders. Snowcap seemed a bit larger with his fur that puffed outwards, but not enough to make Nootau back down yet. Nootau growled softly in his throat. it wasn't anger that drove him at all, he admired Snowcap a bit, as a peer, he was driven by instinct, ready to test his sparring skills. This wasn't going to be a blood-releasing fight, rather a swift test of dominance to see who was going to be better suited to lead. He vaguely recognized the scent of yet another loner, yes, female, but he ignored it for the moment.

Snowcap stared into Nootau's green eyes, his brow hardening and silver eyes swirling darker and darker as the seconds went by. As much as he disliked fighting, this is what it woud come down to. He couldn't talk it over with Nootau; this was all to be done on instinct.
Snowcap tore his eyes away from the brown wolf's eyes and backed away, tail still high and fanning, chest fur and hackles on end. He lowered his body, circling around Nootau. A low growl formed in his throat, but it wasn't menacing. Rather, it sounded like a cat purring.
The fight wouldn't be long; only enough to establish a dominance order. A twinkle of play came into Snowcap's eyes, spiraling gold through his silver irises.

Nootau stared back, the background noises vanishing completely as he got in the zone. He stepped back, disliking the odd feeling of being circled, and sidestepped and shuffled about, avoiding any kind of sneak attack. His growling rumbled in his throat and made it slightly numb, then the growl bounced into a high pitched whine-yowl and bounced back to the growl as he raised the pressure and the challenge began to close in. He leapt directly in front Of Snowcap now, staring, top of his muzzle creasing gently.

Snowcap snarled when Nootau leapt, his nose only a few centimeters from Nootau's. He pinned his ears back against his head, afraid of a sudden frontal attack. Snowcap kept his tail high while he backed away slowly, pawstep by pawstep.
When he was two meters away, he lept like lightning for Nootau's neck, lips pulled away from his teeth and fangs reaching hungrily for Nootau's white throat. However, Snowcap had no intention of actually biting Nootau. When his teeth were within a centimeter of Nootau's jugular, he jerked his head to the side, feinting the attack. Instead, Snowcap plowed into Nootau's shoulder, hoping to throw him to the ground with the force of his strike.

Inaya watched intently, interested as to who would soon be the leader of this new pack. She personally wanted Nootau to win, noticing at first, his natural dominance. Her Blue eyes followed every move and she winced as the blow to Nootau came. She scented anothe rloner in the air as well, but decided to ignore it as the fight continued.

Tsuki watched intently as Nootau and Snowcap fought for dominance. She was keen to see who would win. She caught a scent of another loner as it approached the group. She turned towards the new comer and wagged her tail in welcoming. But then she turned her attention back to the fight.

Kanti came to a halt as she reached a mound that stood above the fight scene. Her keen amber eyes surveyed the wolves for a moment before she dared to move any closer. There were two males fighting, she guessed for rank titles. Two females watching them, one of which seemed to have noticed she was here. Then she noticed another male, who seemed to be watching the fight also, so Kanti guessed he was the lower ranking male of this pack.
Kanti watched them for a while, whining silently to herself untill she decided enough was enough. It was time to join another pack, her previous pack were not going to return, so if she was to stay alive this would be her only option. With a deep breath, she began to walk towards the others, her ears pricked and her tail slowly starting to come up in a sort of dominant way as she approached them.

Nootau bucked up on his hind paws, reaching for Snow's nape. His counter-attack wasn't strong enough, however, and he was downed by Snow's shoulder-grasp. Knowing he was pinned, he pulled his tail between his legs and exposed his throat submissively. He whimpered softly, and licked at Snowcap's ear.
He became away of yet another female scent nearing, though, and looked at Snowcap again.

As Nootau showed the signs of submission, Snowcap backed away from him, barking with dominance, ears erect and tail fanning the air. Instead of walking away, he stretched his head down and sniffed at Nootau, taking in his fresh, woody scent. Snowcap liked this wolf, and was glad that the fight had not been violent.
When his instincts settled down and his fur lay flat once more, the white wolf licked Nootau on the neck. He flicked his tail to motion the submissive wolf to stand, then turned to parade in front of his audience. Snowcap gave a short, victorious howl before addressing the loners.
"I am Snowcap," he stated in a calming voice, as if the fight had never occured, "And I will lead a new pack in this forest, if anyone wishes to join me." His eyes were overcome with gold, the sunlit color chasing away the silver flecks. Snowcap looked over at Nootau, eyeing him warmly.
"Please," he said, "Will you, my challenger, accept position of Beta?" The corners of his mouth lifted, creating a wolfish sort of smile. His tail swayed with pleasure.

Anthoro gasped as he watched the fight. As Nootau submitted, he wagged his tail at the new Alpha. He whined and wagged his tail furiously. He sat down, containing himself as he saw a the new wolf in their midst. He found she was a female. He looked around the clearing at the newfound pack. Anthoro smiled. A new pack, and hopefully this one wouldn't let him down.
"I will follow you, Snowcap, where ever you choose to venture." Anthoro said. He really meant it. Snowcap had proved his dominance, and he would follow him to the ends of the earth. He looked around to see wh else would follow the white male.
